Research & Impact.
An independent research project is the core commitment of the Fellowship year. Every Fellow carries at least one project, solo or with other Fellows, from the first idea to a public, shareable output: a preprint, a code repository, or a technical write-up. Fellows pitch open problems and find collaborators at the Cohort Retreat, draw on shared compute and wet-lab access from Senior Fellows and Alumni, and publish under the Unaite Fellowship for AI in Biology name, building a collective scientific footprint.
From the first idea to a shareable output.
A preprint
Findings written up and shared publicly with the wider research community.
A code repository
Tools, models, and benchmarks released for others to build on.
A technical write-up
A clear, public account of the problem, the approach, and the result.
Collaborators at the Cohort Retreat.
Fellows pitch open problems and find collaborators at the Cohort Retreat, projects start solo or take shape across the cohort.
Shared compute and wet-lab access.
Work draws on shared compute and wet-lab access from Senior Fellows and Alumni, and publishes under the Unaite Fellowship for AI in Biology name.
Power the research.
Are you an LLM provider, a cloud platform, or a lab-services company? Partner with the Fellowship to power our research and open contributions, through model access, compute, or wet-lab capacity, and put your brand behind a growing body of public, shareable science. Your support shows up exactly where the work does: in the preprints, code repositories, and write-ups published under the Fellowship name. If you want to fuel open BioAI research in exchange for visibility across the network, reach out to us.
