Who we are
The Unaite Fellowship for AI in Biology is operated by Unaite, based in Paris, France. Unaite is the data controller under the GDPR. For any privacy request, write to contact@unaite.fr.
Cookies
Necessary cookies keep the site working and reviewers signed in — always on. Analytics (Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager) and any marketing cookies run only if you allow them: every non-essential signal starts denied (Google Consent Mode v2). Your choice is stored in the unaite_consent cookie, and in line with CNIL guidance we ask again after about six months.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| unaite_consent | Unaite | Remembers your cookie choice. | 180 days |
| __session, __client_uat | Clerk | Keeps a reviewer signed in. | Session |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Usage stats — only if you allow Analytics. | Up to 2 years |

What we collect, and why
- Applications. What you submit through our form (hosted on Tally) — name, email, links, CV, and answers — stored in our database to review your application. We process it at your request.
- Reviewer accounts. Account details from our sign-in provider, to control access to the review dashboard (our legitimate interest in running the review). The dashboard is access-controlled and applications are not public.
- Technical data. Limited logs our host processes to deliver and secure the site.
Our legal bases are your consent (analytics cookies), performance of your request (applications and messages), our legitimate interests (running and securing the site), and legal obligation where the law requires.
Who we share it with
A few processors, each under its own policy: Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics, if allowed), Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database), and Tally(application form). Some are outside the EEA, covered by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We don’t sell your data or share it for others’ marketing.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it: applications for the cycle and a reasonable period after; reviewer accounts while access is active. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and object to or restrict our processing. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before withdrawal. Email contact@unaite.fr to exercise any of these. You can also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL.
